Attleborough sits in the midst of the beautiful Norfolk countryside, a small market town once known for its goose walks to London and was brought to life in the film Laughterhouse (1984). It has sat for years gently maturing like old wine, until by GOVERNMENT EDICT a proposal to completely change the character was passed to Breckland Council to ..................BUILD HOUSES
Up to 10,000 more people in our area. Each house will need:

More sewage treatment
More schools
More shops
More medical care
More policing
Land
We will lose the thousands of acres of the beautiful Attleborough countryside we all enjoy when travelling beyond the centre of our small country town. We will lose a large amount of wild life ... Flora and Fauna ... to concrete, brick and tarmac
Up to 6000 extra cars------------- our air quality will drop
Attleborough town centre WILL become more congested even with extra relief roads covering our countryside
This proposal has nothing to do with our wellbeing.
The houses are being dumped on Attleborough.
This is your town Don't let them do it

Some of the reasons for living around Attleborough:
1. Beautiful country side
2. Peace and tranquillity
3. Low density of traffic on roads
4. The bird, animal and plant diversity
5. A place in which our children can grow up, without the crime that so many cities and large towns suffer from
Questions to ask yourself:
1. Do you want more air-borne pollution around Attleborough?
2. Do you want Attleborough to lose its character and become a housing estate rather than a relatively peaceful Norfolk country town?
Statement:
Building new roads brings more traffic into an area
Building vast new estates increases immigration into an area and doesn’t solve the housing needs of our indigenous population
Why should it stop at 4500? (The chief planning officer has implied that this is only the tip of the iceberg)
The character of our town has progressed step by step from small scale development to the diversified beautiful areas we now enjoy
If we had wanted to live in a large town we would have moved to a large town
Most of us live here because we like the mix of housing and countryside we now have
We live in a democracy where the will of the people to live without outside interference is being taken away from us.
Attleborough can continue to gently develop without this vast influx of new housing
